Snow trip

The obvious question - Why would anybody deliberately drive a mobile tent into the snow armed only with a small tin box heater?

It's an exceptionally good question and in lieu of a sensible answer we can only say, "Because it's one hell of a lot of fun".

Although the weather was a bit bleak and a bit cold, we still enjoyed slipping and sliding around in the huge snow drifts with some handbrake turns becoming reasonably spectacular.

Those with road tires made slightly harder work of it than those who had the more aggressive town and country type.

Some people bothered to take chains but it seemed they were not as necessary as first was thought because, with sensible driving, the Mokes proved to be quite adept little snow mobiles.

The kids had a great time. We had a great time. Even the couple of pets that went had a great time.

And we all arrived home safely at the end of the day to enjoy a nice hot diner.
