THE MASK OF LIFE
When all alone far from crowds, you threw away that mask,
The mask of life which got you by, with simple talks and laughs.
In solitude you found yourself, with true feelings to the fore.
Feelings which were lying low and were never disclosed before.
But you didn't need that mask for long, as your inner strengths shone through.
You shared, and laughed, loved and cried, with people close to you.
And the precious lesson you've taught us all, is to remove our masks within.
Just love, laugh, cry and listen, that's what makes a good friend.
Luke, you and I took off our Masks last September.
How blessed was I.
Love and miss you heaps.
Auntie Leonie.
