To say Luke was a good, keen footballer would be an understatement.

While he lived in Tasmania, he remained a loyal and stead worthy member of the Old Scotch Collegians Association Football Club.

He was regularly voted Best and Fairest as well as Most Valuable Player. He also served as captain and helped by coaching. But most importantly, he was their adopted son.

In 2007 an award was named after Luke.
