Our family enjoyed Lukey's visits with his Mum Jo, brother and sister to our home in Greensborough, cousins played with cousins. Next door neighbours Justin and Natalie would join Kathryn Paul and Damien in play acting. one such play, I remember, was Blue Berry Pie. Luke was persuaded to wear a dress as an extra female was required. He was always ready to do his best and have a crack at anything, god bless him. Jo and Auntie Kath fell in love with the musical Les Miserables, the people power segment got all the Mums dancing and singing, it made us feel like" frontline, long legged, chorus girls" (we were only dream'n) Luke would applaud with all his might and ask for more. So who cared that he was the only man in the audience. Jo, that same year received a very special birthday present from Lukey. This present was wrapped like only a little boy can wrap. This present, to Jo's amazement was a tape from Les Miserables. Lukey .... Can you hear the people sing.......... Auntie Kath |
